I’ve been a loyal customer of Cucina di Ivo for over two years, and it continues to be one of my favorite dining experiences on the island. The restaurant is set in a charming old building that creates a warm, inviting ambiance—perfect for a relaxed and memorable meal. The food is consistently amazing. Some of my absolute favorites are the beef carpaccio, the ravioli, and the Ivo white sauce pasta with peas, pancetta, and shrimp—each dish is flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared. You can truly taste the care and dedication in every bite, especially the fresh pasta made daily. Knowing that the owner is also the chef adds something special—his pride in the cuisine comes through in both quality and presentation. As a guide dog user, I especially appreciate the level of inclusion and respect shown by the staff. The servers are attentive and thoughtful, using clear verbal cues that make the experience comfortable and accessible without feeling forced or awkward. That level of awareness makes a meaningful difference. Cucina di Ivo is not just a great restaurant—it’s a place where excellent food, atmosphere, and genuine hospitality come together beautifully. Highly recommended.
Amazing find. Cozy little Italian restaurant in the heart of Old San Juan. The fresh made fettuccine de mare in a spicy tomato sauce was incredible. Huge portion with lots of of clams, mussels, calamari, and shrimp. We walked in, but I strongly recommend reservations.
Best Italian restaurant we have found in Puerto Rico. Great food. Great service. Authentic Italian. Small in size, huge in taste, personalization and everything you want in a romantic meal. Been returning for last 5 years and will definitely go back when we return to old San Juan. Highest recommendation. Check them out. You won't be sorry. Make a reservation or you probably will not get in!
